you killed me first in winter/spring 2010

The You Killed Me First subversive film series will resume on Saturday, January 30th, 2010 at 8 p.m., with Chantal Akerman's Jeanne Dielman, 23 quai du Commerce, 1080 Bruxelles (1975). This 201-minute film is focused solely on the daily routine of the middle-class & middle-aged widow Jeanne Dielman, played by Delphine Seyrig of Last Year at Marienbad and The Discrete Charm of the Bourgeoisie fame. week seven: a woman under the influence

John Cassavetes' A Woman Under the Influence (1974) will be screened on Saturday, November 7th, at 10 p.m. RSVP to yewkilledmefirst@gmail.com for the location. This film will be the first in the YKMF housewife subseries. Next week, Dušan Makavejev's Montenegro!

This Friday, October 23rd, at Cinema 21, some friends of the series will be screening their porno Read My Lips as part of HUMP! You should come to this if you'd like, but we will not be screening a film this Saturday, October 24th.
